My Client-First Philosophy
There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional - integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which are hallmarks of how I work.
That said, in my experience as a Massachusetts and Connecticut real estate professional, I've also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs.
This "client first" philosophy has always been my approach and it requires me to continually improve my skills and ways of doing business. In addition, I've found that the latest technologies are enabling me to do everything I've always done, only much more quickly and efficiently. They've also helped me to extend the range of services I provide to my clients.
Amongst these services offered are my qualifications from the National Association of Realtors of Transnational Referral Certified (TRC) and GREEN in addition to being a member of FIABCI/International Real Estate Federation..
People move for many reasons. Sometimes these relocations require moving to another country. This can be intimidating- a different country can present many challenges, including adapting to an unfamiliar culture and buying a home where a different language is spoken. My TRC certification assures my clients that through my TRC network I can help them to find a real estate professional in the destination country that adheres to a strong professional standard of ethics and can begin assisting them in the language most comfortable for them long before their arrival. To assure that I am in touch with the developments and concerns of the international community, I am a member of the International Task Force both on the statewide level with the Massachusetts Association of Realtors as well as the local Realtor Association of Pioneer Valley.
The new GREEN designation assures my eco-conscious clients that I have a comprehensive knowledge of sustainability issues as well as the training to help consumers understand the "green" potential of a property. I can assist buyers in evaluating the cost and benefits of green building features/practices as well as distinguishing between industry rating and classification systems. In addition I am pleased to be able to inform them about the financial grants and incentives available to homeowners who would like to make their houses more energy efficient.
It gives me enormous pleasure to identify myself as a member of FIABCI/International Real Estate Federation. FIABCI was founded in France of CNAB (French National Federation of Property Managers) in 1945 with the assistance of their Danish counterparts. The federation steadily grew in its international reach as other countries joined over the years, increasing its influence. In 1956 the organization became known as the Federation Internationale des Administrateurs de Biens Conseils et Agents Immobiliers (FIABCI). Today FIABCI is not only a federation of 100+ national real estate associations but is also a business club of real estate professionals in over 60 countries that has enjoyed special consultant with NGO status to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations Organisation (ECOSOC) since 1954. FIABCI offers real estate consumers access to a unique global network of brokerages, property managers, valuation / appraisal services, property developers and consultants, lawyers, insurers, architects, and urban planners for all of their leisure, office, industrial, residential, retail, and rural needs. FIABCI is represented by chapters in more than 48 countries and has five official languages: English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish. FIABCI enables it's members to experience and practice true international real estate to be more effective and knowledgeable while serving their clientele.
